Caravan & Camping

The Weddin Mountains Region is a safe and welcoming place for caravan and camping which provides the ideal way to truly experience the area. Grenfell is a RV Friendly town with essential amenities and services such as a dump point and potable water (West St, Old Railway Station) and long vehicle casual parking (Forbes St or either side of Main St roundabout). Short-term parking is also available at the beautifully restored railway station on West Street and at Company Dam. The Council owned Caravan Park offers short-term and long-term parking with discounted rates for CMCA members.

Take the opportunity to really go bush in the Weddin Mountains National Park. There is a formal area at Ben Hall’s camp along with other great spots to stay. Nestled under the shade of the mugga ironbark’s and black pines is Holy Camp, where you can picnic or bush camp. Hipcamp at Ben Hall Creek Camp on Wentworth Station where you can stay on the banks where the bushranger himself did in the 1800’s. Enjoy other authentic country camping experiences throughout the villages including the Bland Hotel in Quandialla or the Quandialla Showground which also offers powered sites, amenities and free camping. Camping is also offered during events such as the Caragabal Camp Oven Cook Off and the Caragabal Sheep Races.
