Grenfell is in for a very special night of live music when Jenny Mitchell (NZ) & Midnight Chicken roll into town as part of their 2027 Australian Tour!
Four-time Golden Guitar nominee and Aotearoa Music Award winner Jenny Mitchell will join forces with Newcastle’s free-range bluegrass band Midnight Chicken for an evening of storytelling, warm harmonies, string-band magic and just a little bit of mischief.
Fresh from supporting Kasey Chambers on a 32-date Australian tour and opening for The Lumineers, Jenny brings her nostalgic and powerful songwriting to the intimate surrounds of The Cordial Factory.
Midnight Chicken, hatched and hand-raised in Newcastle, have been turning heads with their wild and wonderful take on bluegrass, blending country, folk and traditional bluegrass with plenty of personality.
Following a sold-out New Zealand tour together in 2026, Jenny and Midnight Chicken are bringing the show to Australian audiences — and Grenfell is on the tour map!
