Economic Development Strategy 2027-2032
Weddin Shire Council is developing an Economic Development Strategy 2027–2032 to provide a clear and practical plan to support a strong, sustainable and thriving local economy over the next five years.
We want to hear from our community about the strengths, opportunities, challenges and priorities that will shape the future of our local economy.
Community consultation will take place across the Shire throughout October 2026, with face-to-face consultation sessions providing an opportunity for residents, businesses and community members to share their views and ideas.
Your feedback will help inform priorities around:
- Supporting local businesses and industry
- Attracting investment and encouraging reinvestment
- Infrastructure and services that support economic growth
- Local workforce planning and development
- Partnerships, advocacy and opportunities for the future
Everyone is welcome to attend. You don’t need to be a business owner or economic expert — if you live, work or have an interest in the future of Weddin Shire, we want to hear from you.
If you can’t attend a face-to-face session, an online survey will also be available so everyone has an opportunity to contribute.
