Discover the golden glow of the Weddin Shire this spring with our brand-new Self-Drive Wattle Trails. Proudly developed by Weddin Landcare, these trails have been designed to showcase the vibrant beauty of wattles in full bloom and are the perfect way to explore the region at your own pace.

There are three unique trail options to choose from, each offering spectacular views, seasonal highlights, and a chance to experience the natural charm of the Weddin Mountains region.

Northern Wattle Trail
Starting from Grenfell, this drive takes you through Bumbaldry, Piney Range and Pullabooka. Expect open farmland, bushland and plenty of roadside wattles in bloom.
Approx. distance: 115 km | Allow: 1.5–2 hours

Southern Wattle Trail
Beginning in Grenfell, the route travels through Warraderry, Weddin View and Quandialla. Along the way you’ll find sweeping rural vistas, patches of wildflowers and an abundance of golden wattles.
Approx. distance: 130 km | Allow: 2–2.5 hours

Eastern Wattle Trail
This trail loops through Greenethorpe, Bribbaree and Bimbi, offering a mix of farmland, bushland and charming small villages framed by wattles.
Approx. distance: 140 km | Allow: 2.5–3 hours

Best time to visit: Late winter through spring (August–October) for peak wattle bloom.
